Cellist Jürgen Wolf died

On June 12, 2014, the cellist Jürgen Wolf died at the age of 75 years in Skövde in Sweden. Musikverlag Zimmermann mourns a special person and musician.

Jürgen Wolf was born on July 31, 1938. He received his cello training in Berlin and Bern and in classes, eg with Pablo Casals. There was a conductor training in the Czech Republic after. Jürgen Wolf attended courses in France, Switzerland and Sweden, as well as master classes in England and the USA. In 1972 he accepted the position of first solo cellist with the Düsseldorf Symphony. He founded several ensembles, among others, the “Tea Time Ensemble” in 1982 and the chamber orchestra Düsseldorf 1996. In addition, Jürgen Wolf has published numerous methods, edited cello pieces and teached cellists.
